CAIH Donates to Earthquake-stricken Areas of the Philippines
On April 22, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines, causing injuries of 183 people, the untimely demise of 16 citizens and a wide range of damages on roads, bridges and other infrastructure across Pampanga Province. China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as CAIH) made donations to the Pampanga Province through H.E. Gloria Arroyo, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Former President of the Philippines, for the affected people to rebuild their homeland.

China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as CAIH) made donations to the Pampanga Province through H.E. Gloria Arroyo, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Former President of the Philippines, for the affected people to rebuild their homeland.
Active interaction has been maintained between CAIH and the Philippine Government and partners from various sectors. With the support of China-ASEAN Information Harbor Digital Economy Industry Alliance, CAIH has built good partnership with the Prime Information Technology Corporation and bilateral cooperation has been carried out in multiple fields. During Boao Forum for Asia Manila Conference held from April 21-24 in Manila, with the great support from Mr. Tony Tan, CEO of Prime Information Technology Corporation, representatives of CAIH met H.E. Gloria Arroyo. After learning about the business progress of CAIH, H.E. Gloria Arroyo thought highly of the contributions CAIH had made to promote the development of China-ASEAN Digital Silk Road, and encouraged CAIH to participate in the Philippine ICT development, thus to bring benefits to people from both countries by giving full use of its high-tech advantages. Moreover, H.E. Gloria Arroyo actively coordinated with relevant departments and major Telcos to show her strong support for boosting CAIH business in the Philippines.
Committed to improving public welfare, CAIH has been unswervingly fulfilling its social responsibilities. On hearing about the news of earthquake, CAIH paid constant attention to the effects of earthquake and sent a letter to H.E. Gloria Arroyo expressing profound condolences to the victims and sincere sympathy to the injured. Meanwhile, CAIH made donations for the stricken people to help them defeat the unfortunate disaster and rebuild their confidence as well as homeland.
After donations have been transferred into the donation account of Pampanga Province, Ms. Lilia G. Pineda, Governor of the Province, wrote back to CAIH, appreciating the timely generosity and selfless supports from CAIH.
CAIH will continue to make joint efforts with the Philippine partners to promote digital economy.
